Our commercial mat rental business uses heavy duty mat storage systems in our dispatch area, these galvanised steel mat racking systems allow us to load routes quickly and efficiently. Each mat rack is manufactured from steel and is mounted on heavy duty castors whilst each compartment is collapsible to accommodate extra stock when required.
Using these mat storage systems make the segregation of coloured dirt control mats possible whilst taking up little space, each mat storage cage is manufactured to accept folded standard size mats from 85 cm x 150 cm – 120 cm x 180 cm.
Rolled Mats
We strongly recommend the storage of mats that are not used on a regular basis to be rolled pile out, this type of storage will prevent cracking of the nitrile rubber.
The rolling of dirt control mats and logo barrier mats is not always possible, and we would advise alternating the folds in the mats to reduce the eventual splitting of the rubber.
Matting Storage Systems on Castors
Having portable mat storage systems or mat racking is highly beneficial in a dirt control mat room, they not only help with the loading of routes but also enable the thorough cleaning of floors. Unfortunately with this type of mat storage system the floors will require regular painting.
Mat storage cages vary in price and build quality buying brand new cages can be expensive and we would recommend trying to source second hand racking from auction houses or other stock liquidation organisations.
